This week has been quite dull in some ways, you know just an average week, nothing out of the ordinary. H has been less tired this week which is good and he only has to get through 2 more weeks till half term when he has two weeks off to make up for his early back to school at the end of the summer. School organisation has been tough for both of us, but I think we are working out the niggles. If he could just find his gum shield (specially made by the dentist and the only thing not labelled because it goes in his mouth) which he has lost at school, I’d be happy.
I’ve been doing a lot of exercise this week. I was a bit frustrated that I only managed one swim and one yoga class last week, so this week I wanted to do it all: 2 swims, 2 yoga classes and 1 countryside walk. I think I overdid it though as that meant doing a swim and a yoga class on Friday and then I did a lot of walking doing some errands so it was all a bit much on one day. I think I’ve found the answer though as I have found that another local pool does swimming at the same time as I like to go, but on different days. It’s not ideal as I’d have to get in the car, but better than not going or trying to fit it all in on the same day. The scales aren’t moving yet, but the waistline on some clothes that I’ve been wearing this week have been feeling very loose.
The cats are starting to spend some days not in the conservatory. Some days it’s been too cold in there (it’s not heated). The new favourite sleep spot, when the radiators aren’t on at least, is H’s room. When I was furnishing it I went for lots of soft, plush fabrics and he has a teddy bear fabric duvet and pillow, plus this lovely soft red throw. Obviously, it’s not just comfortable for H, and our furry friends love it too.
