Well I think the week is going to look like it was a bit boring in terms of photographs, but to be honest the days that I was busy having fun, I didn’t really think about photos whilst I was enjoying myself. I spent Easter Sunday on a bit of a beer garden crawl. We sat by the canal for a bit as one pub was located there and there was another in the middle of a town, but it had a lovely beer garden.
We also had a fun day with my sister, my brother and their kids. I hosted it at my house and it was mayhem, but fun too. I’m still finding things in unexpected places and I’ll probably get it all back in the right places by the next time there is a gathering.
So most of the pictures I’ve taken have been work related, like this one I took of some Spanish skin care products that I am trying out right now. I think the green looks good against the mauve background.
I’ve had some comping success this week with two prizes. One of which I will be taking today as I won a styling session in Telford with a £100 to spend in the shopping centre there – really looking forward to doing that. The other was this large bubble loop which I’m hoping we will have some fun with over the summer. I am planning a party for an important birthday soon and think this could provide a little fun for that – I best get a bulk load of bubble mixture in ready. I really liked the prize fulfilment on this one: I was given an Amazon code and went over to order it myself. It arrived the next day. I’m still waiting for a prize I won last month (which I must chase up), so it was nice to get this one so promptly.
Another work picture. I got some review stamps made up for me to use and a couple that have fake details on to use for the pictures. I expect my nieces and nephews will enjoy using the fake stamps afterwards. I like this mango background too – I might have to buy a few more.
I’ve been trying to get more focused about work and life in general so I actually get the things done that I want to get done. I reread Stephen Covey’s Seven Habits of Highly Effective People last year and several times since (I really recommend it as a self-help book) and I’m trying to focus on achieving my goals rather than simply crossing off random items on the to-do list. I’m trying to achieve something in each area of my life each week, as well as making sure I look after myself. I’ve achieved quite a lot since I started doing this back in the summer despite it being such a difficult time for me with Mum being ill and then dying, so I’m hoping that I can do even more now that I am starting to put that behind me.
