Work has been in short supply this week. I’ve done a little bit though and part of it involved creating this Easter scene for a tweet I sent out. It was good to be doing something to exercise my creative muscles.
Aside from that I’ve been working in the house and garden. This week was the turn of the conservatory. it’s always a bit of a dumping ground in winter because it’s too cold to sit in. I use it for storage and it’s also a corridor out to the garden. Then it gets dirty and I don’t bother to clean it until the weather improves. Now that it has though, it’s been annoying me so I did most of the tidying and cleaning this week, but I still have some to do as I haven’t cleaned the windows yet. It’s looking a lot better though and the cat is enjoying sitting in there to sun himself.
I’ve been planting seeds the last couple of weeks and the first ones are starting to come up now. I’ve got loads to do in the garden, so this time is proving very useful as I’m getting a head start this year. In fact, I’m wondering if I should take a week off around this time each year to do stuff as there are so many jobs that need doing.
Outside in the garden everything is bursting back into life. This is the apple tree with its new shoots and the quince is already in full leaf.
This year I’ve planted a few more pots. It’s nice to have some greenery and flowers on the patio as that’s where I’m sat mostly when I’m out in the garden. I’m grateful my supermarket is still selling plants because it does cheer the place up to have a splash of colour. I could order online I suppose, but I quite like seeing what I am buying and just picking up a new thing each time I go.
Not the greatest pic, but one I took for our road’s new and very active Whatsapp group. H wasn’t that keen on having a picture, but I wanted one to share for our virtual Friday night drinks. It’s nice to put a face to the name on Whatsapp and the number of the house.
