I’ve been looking around for something to wear for a Christmas party. It needs to be something a bit dressy and bright, but I don’t want something I can’t wear the rest of the year, so I want something I can dress down as well as up. This outfit caught my eye.
I love wearing red. It seems to suit me and it’s such a festive colour, so something red seems perfect for Christmas. I love this double-layer strappy camisole. On the straps there’s sparkly detailing which really lift the look. I’ve got brave enough to wear something strappy after many sessions down out the local swimming pool as my arms are a lot more toned. The cami looks great with jeans and heels for the perfect going out look, but I think I’d wear it with black trousers and strappy black sandals like in the picture. I’ll save wearing it with jeans for after Christmas for a night out with friends or a similar occasion.
For me part of feeling fabulous and glamorous for a big night out is building that glamour in from the skin up. Now I won’t be showing off my underwear in public, but I find it gives me confidence to know I’m wearing something attractive, so I’ve picked out a new bra and knicker set to wear under my party clothes.
The finishing touches are all important to me. A nice clutch bag to keep my keys and purse safe: not too small as I need it to hold my things, but not so big it’s too much. With this outfit I don’t think there’s a need for too much jewellery. I think some silver earrings, an understated pendant with maybe some sparkly stones to tie in with my top and I think a bracelet, maybe a charm one would be lovely too.
