I’m a very lucky Mummy to have a son who has decided to make me breakfast in bed both mornings this weekend. Roberts Bakery sent us a pack of breakfast goodies through and H rose to the challenge of making breakfast for me. H and I have been talking lately about him getting more involved with cooking. Being able to prepare your own food is a valuable life skill, but it can also be fun and rewarding.
H had never made toast before, but he was keen to give it a go. This morning we had a trial run with Mummy and Daddy to offer help and advice. Tomorrow he goes solo. He did it. It was all his own work, even if we did talk him through the process. Some of the toast was cut into shapes: circles and triangles. H didn’t just want to do the standard squares.
We’ve not used Roberts Bakery’s bread before and I can tell you that it makes rather nice toast. Roberts Bakery have come up with their soft and fluffy guide to breakfast in bed. Maybe if you share it with your children, you’ll get breakfast in bed too.
What a really lovely thing to do and I hope you enjoyed your treat x
I would really like a breakfast in bed.
