I’ve just been introduced to grüum,  a young British business that was created by four friends from Manchester. grüum create clean skincare, haircare and shaving solutions that are kind to you, your skin and our planet.  I’m loving the simplified and streamlined ethos. The idea is that every product they create has a purpose, and each ingredient is chosen for performance. There are no “for him” and “for her” products,  they are all just made for everyone.  As you’d expect,  they are packed with natural goodness and free from chemical nasties.

The Packaging

grüum sent me the Hygge Home Spa to try out and see what I thought. First of all, I’d like to comment on the way the spa kit arrived.  As you can see in the picture below, the packaging is mostly paper and cardboard.  There’s no unnecessary bits of plastic, in fact I don’t think there’s any plastic at all.

The Washbag

So when you order the set you can pick out the colour of the washbag you want.  As you can see I got the pink one and I do love the colour, even though I’m not usually a fan of pink.  A blue option is also available and it’s a great unisex choice.  I’m truly torn between the two colours because the blue is a great colour too. The bag is a handy size and shape and I’m already planning to use this when I get the opportunity to do any sort of traveling again.

The Products

Inside there are various goodies including a limited edition sea minerals & lavender soy wax candle with a lovely clean, fresh smell to it.  There’s a bath soak, which is perfect as a treat or after a hard day.  It’s got rose petals and rosemary in amongst the bath salts, but the rosemary is the more prominent scent.  Next there’s a pink clay mask powder that refreshingly doesn’t really smell of anything, except perhaps clay.  I love that scent isn’t added just for the sake of it.
There’s a body wash bar made with orange and grapefruit, which gives it a fresh fruity scent – perfect for waking you up in the morning.  It’s been designed to replenish and soothe the skin. This comes with a body bar bag which is made from sisal, which has great gentle exfoliating properties.  You place the bar in the bag and tighten the toggle, then use it in the shower in the bag.  It can be used in much the same way you would use a loofah. Then hang the bag up in the shower after use and it will dry off.  As well as all that there’s a reusable muslin cloth which I use when I’m washing my face.
I loved the purity of these products from grüum.  The scents are all clean, natural ones and are from the ingredients rather than added to create an effect. All in all the set is perfect for a bit of pampering, or as a clever gift choice if you are looking around for a gift for Mother’s Day.

    Self Care / Some Pampering, a real treat. As many of us have had little to no time for self due to :- Stay Home, Stay Safe, Home Schooling, etc, etc, etc.

    I love how natural this is with no plastic wrapping, there is no need for it when all that happens is you bin it and it goes to landfill.

    I love Gruum products. I have been using their shampoo and conditioner bars foe ages and they are fantastic. This looks like a lovely set.
