Back to School is getting ever closer with schools in some parts of the UK only having a week left of the summer break. Others have a few more weeks, but you know it will be with us before you know it. BIC® have come to the rescue and have a great range of back to school stationery items and some to give away to one lucky reader. BIC® are also wanting to take the opportunity to highlight the inaugural BIC® Write and Shine prize, which will give the winner the chance to get a “foot in the door” of the music industry.
The winner of the BIC® Write and Shine competition will record their track in the London studio, then head straight to The Big Feastival on Saturday 26 August, where they will perform their song on the main stage in front of a crowd of thousands, alongside Bethan, Olly Murs and Louisa Johnson. BIC® will capture the whole experience in a short film, which will be released along with the winning song on Bethan’s and BIC®’s social channels, reaching hundreds of thousands of people. Lily Finlay, 18, from West Yorkshire, Cara Leach, 19, from Oxfordshire, Olly Carter, 15, from Kent and Violet Spinks, 18, from London were judged as the best from hundreds of entries for the Write and Shine competition. All four finalists will now go to a public vote on The My BIC Pen Facebook page. Anyone voting for one of the songs from Friday 4 to Friday 18 August 2017 will also be in the running to win tickets to The Big Feastival. The Write and Shine competition encouraged budding songwriters aged 13 to 24 to get lyrical with a pen. Entries were judged on the lyrics alone rather than musical ability.
Whether you have a budding songwriter on your hands or not, I think nice stationery can help inspire creative ideas -it’s much nicer to write a story or a poem with a nice pen, or draw with good quality pencils. If you’d like to try to win our Back to School Bundle, enter via the Gleam widget below.
Competition Terms and Conditions
1. No bulk, third-party or automated entries.
