Two weeks for you this time. Last weekend we were off glamping. It was quite close to us, so we were able to get there within an hour of school getting out and got to enjoy the sunshine. Apart from a culinary disaster (I put pasta on to cook and then realised that the jar of pesto I had picked up was pickle instead, so we ended up eating out), all went well the first night. H quickly made friends with A New Addition‘s children and I enjoy sharing some prosecco with Hannah.
I barely saw H for the weekend once he’d found friends to play with and more children arrived on Saturday morning. He usually came back when he was hungry. As it was a blogging event, we were doing some activities in the afternoon and we got to meet up with Katy Hill who is the ambassador for Ready Camp. She set us a challenge and we got to decorate some tipis. A good time was had by all and I enjoyed catching up with Mary from Over 40 and a Mum to One.
It’s been quite a foodie week for me and I’ve been working on food related posts both for Nine to Three Thirty and my other blog A Little Luxury For Me. I’d been looking forward to doing a restaurant review on Thursday though as it would mean no cooking for me and it was an Italian restaurant, so plenty to like there.
I was quite unprepared how good a meal it was and we had the most amazing time. My friend texted her husband to tell him she was being ‘treated like a princess’. I now know a lot more about Italian food and wine too. The restaurant was in a casino (I know, I wouldn’t think about going for a meal in a casino usually) and afterwards we got to play a little roulette and even got to work the wheel. Great fun!
