Saturday was a hectic day. My niece was two and the locally based part of my family came round. This meant 8 kids and various adults which we hosted between Mum’s and mine (one of the advantages of living so close). Mum provided the food and my house was more for entertainment. Some of the kids did some crafting together at mine, but they were all around the house doing different things.
I’ve had a busy week work wise which is good and my little helper gave me a bit of a hand with this Hartley’s campaign.
This week was H’s second week of Scouts. His uniform is looking a bit bare compared to how his cub uniform looked. I expect he’ll be earning some new badges soon. We are getting into the new routine as it’s a different night of the week to Cubs.
This week was a big week for H as he was off on his first school residential. Here he is all laden down with his stuff. He seems to have had a whale of a time and he’s made some new friends with another school. The other school is also a feeder school for the secondary most of H’s class will be going to, so it’s nice for them to meet some of the other kids they will be mixing with next year.
More work whilst H was gone. It made sense to crack on and get things done. I took this picture for one of my other blogs and started work on Christmas gift guides. H came back on Friday – he claimed not to be tired, but he didn’t want to go to his swimming lesson and there was mention of being awake till 1am one night so I think he was really.
