This week was half term for us. I was starting to feel a bit stir crazy as I hadn’t been out as much when H was ill the other week and I was missing getting the chance to do my own thing. We spent a day at Merry Hill on a blogging job and H had his picture taken with Paddington Bear. I also got stung by H for a big purchase in Game whilst we were there. H was pleased to bump into some of the kids from his old school that happened to be there and I got to chat to a fellow blogger. Another day was partly spent at the Legoland Discovery Centre in Birmingham and we went with friends and H was glad to see them as he hadn’t had much child company in the last week. H has had couple of friends from his old school over to play and he’s been to the local park with another friend too. In fact, he’s had a reasonably busy and very social half term.
The weather has been so nice this week it’s been nice to get out and about a bit more. It’s felt really spring like and it’s nice to be able to go out without a coat at times. On Wednesday we went to visit our friends who have a farm. H enjoyed a lot of nerf gun battling and some Playstation play. Having grown up a city girl, it’s always interesting to see the farm at work and it’s good to get out in the countryside too.
This week there have been two nights out for a curry in a row. I’m a bit curried out now, but it was fun. I also went to a concert in a local church and heard some lovely music and beautiful voices.
