Last weekend I went to Tetbury in Gloucestershire (a pretty town in the Cotswolds) to meet up with some old friends from university. We stayed in an old coaching inn and had a fabulous time catching up. There was a lot of prosecco drunk, big breakfasts scoffed and cakes eaten. It was lovely.
This week there has been a certain amount of trying to get things done before half term. H is more than ready for it, even though it’s been a short-term really. He’s been a bit too busy and he’s clearly tired by the end of each week. I’m not sure he’s fully recovered by Monday either. There has been much cat cuddling this week, although we did have a nasty episode with the cats one night. Our cats sleep with us and one of the cats likes to tunnel down and sleep by our feet. Normally, this is fine, but not if she throws up when she’s down there. We were not impressed at having to change our bedding (and I had to wash my feet) at 3am. Yuck!
You can’t beat a good catalogue can you? Catalogues are big favourites with H and we often take them away on holiday because they provide many hours of entertainment. The arrival of the Playmobil catalogue this week was very popular. I managed to surprise H taking this photo: I don’t think he’d realised I was there because he was so engrossed.
