We had a fairly quiet few days at home last weekend. There was a visit to the Chinese restaurant to celebrate Chinese New Year (yes I know it was a bit early, but I needed the pictures for my blog post). There was some time to play with Daddy and put the Pokemon collector card sets we had to review to the test.
We are currently working on a garden birds project with Wilko and we spent some time getting things ready. H learnt a bit about assembling flat pack items and we are looking forward to seeing more birds in the garden.
On Monday we went to our local Brewers Fayre with some friends as part of piece I was doing for the blog. A great time was had by all, but I think with all that running around after school and then cubs in the evening, H wasn’t best placed to fight off germs.
Not the best picture – it was a quick shot I took to send to a friend on Twitter to show how sore H’s nose was. He started on a bad cold on Monday and has had it all week. His nose got sorer and sorer, with its peak of redness being worse than this. We did slow things down a little and missed our regular swimming lesson to give the skin a chance to recover. By Friday it was healed enough to go swimming with the school.
Things were going so well with the garden bird project that I was inspired to buy a fat filled coconut shell to add to the selection of goodies on offer at our garden restaurant. It seems that the new addition isn’t only getting feathered visitors though.
