Last weekend we headed off to Ashby-de-la-Zouch to visit family. H and I popped out for a bit to do a Pokemon Go walk around the town and we visited the castle whilst we were at it, as we had our English Heritage cards for free entry.
We spent a day at Conkers in the National Forest with the family which was great fun. We got to explore the woods; tackle an assault course; and see an Animal Man show.
After a lot of time away from home over the last week or so, we were happy to spend some days close to home. H needed some down time and I needed to catch up with things a little.
In fact we did very little and didn’t meet up with many people, but we did manage a Pokemon Go walk in the park with one of H’s friends. This introduced H to a Pokemon Go radar app that he’s keen to use to help target his efforts. It was nice for him to have someone else to talk about the game with as no one we have really seen over the summer has been into it apart from my brother.
On Friday evening we went to a restaurant called Piazza Di Pasta, in St.Paul’s Square, Birmingham to do a review. We are doing quite a lot of family restaurant reviews these days and not just chain restaurants either. H really likes the idea of being a food critic and he often likes to rate the meals we cook at home.
well I hope H rates your cooking highly lol.
sounds like a nice end to the holidays – the Conkers plan sounds fab. We have had a week of down time too, staying at home and decluttering and playing xx
Glad you had a great week
Always time fie Pokemon go
Love that first picture of H. Glad he’s had some company for his Pokemon Go this week. Reviewing restaurants sounds like the perfect review job to me!
Nice to get use out of your heritage pass. Nice to get food reviews to do.
Must get a heritage pass
Great value
Your H would love my hubby right now. He’s Pokemon Go hunting mental at the moment. That food looks amazing!
Sounds like you all had a lovely time
