Can’t believe that we are at the halfway point in the year already. This week I haven’t had much energy and haven’t blogged much (although I will have to do a lot more next week). I have been trying to set up things for house maintenance and decoration. As well as that I’ve been working on giving out samples for the product in the picture. It feels odd to be working at something other than blogging, although there is a bit of cross over as I do have to share pictures/comments on social media.
As we were leaving the house for Scouts this week next door’s burglar alarm went off. I had a bit of a look around and saw nothing, so went off to drop H. When I came back I heard some tapping on next door’s bay window and was surprised to see a great big crow trying to get out. Luckily my neighbours arrived back shortly after and we felt the need to take a picture through the front window (not the best quality sorry). I offered to catch the bird as I’ve done that quite a few times before. It’s quite easy really. You throw a cloth over the bird to calm it down and once it has stopped moving around it’s easy enough to scoop it up. Two towels did the job and within a few minutes the crow had flown safely away. It did make a bit of a mess though as it seemed to have come down the chimney (although not sure how as the pots had covers) so there was a lot of soot plus some bird poo.
H has swimming lessons once a week in the pool of a local private school. It is a beautiful school with lovely grounds and great facilities. Here’s a picture of part of the grounds.
