We have had a few quiet weekends lately which has been quite nice. So last weekend we didn’t really do anything, in fact I don’t think H got out of his pyjamas all day. He loves to do that. It was the usual routine of lunch at mum’s on Sunday to catch up with the family. Quite restful. There were some lovely sunrises to enjoy. We don’t really get a sunset view from our house, but it’s very good for catching a sunrise as we can get quite a nice view to the south-east where the sun seems to come up at this time of year.
H has loved cubs since he started last summer. Here’s a picture of him all ready to go on Monday night. The only downside with it is that it’s on very late as it runs after their Beavers, so H doesn’t finish till 8.45 and then I have to get him home, calm him down and get ready for bed, so the week starts on a late one.
Thursday morning I woke up and looked out of the window and was quite excited by what I saw. There was a carpet of the white stuff on the ground and it was falling fast. Within an hour though the snow had turned to rain and there was a slushy mess on the ground – very disappointing. Friday saw snow on the ground again in the morning, but it didn’t last long. Like most kids locally H is desperate for a good bit of snow so he can go sledging and do all the snow stuff that he hasn’t been able to do for a few years.
