Another year and another week of photos and our news. We’ve both had a fairly lazy week this week as H is still off school. I haven’t had a holiday from the blog all year and I’ve been enjoying taking some time out. Apart from a few small bits, I’ve had 2 weeks off now, but that will have to change next week. So there aren’t many pictures to share this week.
The first picture is of H trying out the new vacuum we got sent to review. In fact, we got a couple of review items in the post and he was keen to open the parcels when they arrived. There was a lot of interest shown in this new machine and H has been reading the instruction manual and I even got a bit of housework out of him.
We had one evening out at a party that some friends were hosting and we had a lovely time. Then we went out for the day to Aston Hall with some different friends. Aston Hall is an enormous Jacobean mansion in an inner city area of Birmingham. It’s now owned by the council and open to the public. The picture is of H in the long gallery (it’s a room that really lives up to its name). It’s an interesting place to visit and some of the rooms are stunning, but the house was so cold. I guess that isn’t that surprising: it’s January after all and there isn’t central heating.
Friday saw us meeting up with friends again. H has had plenty of chances to see friends this week, which is nice because being an only child can be a bit lonely and I think he would have missed his cousins this week if he hadn’t been so busy.
