So I’ve decided to carry on writing these posts again this year. They will probably look very similar to the reader, but they will be a bit different behind the scenes. For Christmas I got my first proper manual camera and I’m determined to get to grips with it. I plan to use it every day that I can this year, so most of these photos will be taken on it. Sometimes though I’ll be using my phone camera as I was before, just because I’ll have that with me. I’ll take pictures every day, but I won’t always feature them all on here. Some weeks I might use them all and other times I’ll just pick a couple that sum up the week.
We have been quite chilled the last few days and have been staying close to home partly because we want to and partly because we are without a car at the moment. There has been much playing done with Christmas presents – I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much Lego. We went to our local park with friends the other day and H had a great run around in the winter sunshine. Here he is balancing on something with a look of concentration on his face. After a lunch in the park cafe of a yummy sausage sandwich, he went back to his friend’s house and got to play with the Lego Ewok Village (guess what he wants for his birthday now).
Today (Saturday) is my mother’s birthday, so we went round to see her. We took round a jigsaw that H had got for Christmas. It’s a lovely puzzle that has been made up with a picture of him dressed up for Christmas taken when he was a baby. Despite only being 250 pieces it’s quite challenging and the three of us worked on it together for quite a while before we conquered it.
