This picture is one of my favourite ones of the summer. It’s of H looking every inch the cool surfer dude. Just looking at it reminds me of a lovely day we had visiting friends in Tywyn in North Wales. H was so happy that he had a friend to play with: holidays for an only child can be a lonely affair at times and having a friend there makes such a difference to him. H was by the sea, and in the sea, and on the sea. His love of the sea draws us to the coast on a regular basis and I don’t need too much persuading either. He’s at his happiest with his wetsuit on and using his body board: one of these days I’m going to need to get him some proper surfing tuition as I think he’d really love it.
So this picture was a natural choice when The Canvas Prints got in touch and asked if I’d like to try out a canvas from them. It didn’t take very long for it to arrive and it came nicely packaged up to keep it safe in transit. Hopefully you can see from my picture that the canvas image is sharp and clear: the quality is good. I’m still trying to decide whether to put this in the conservatory to remind me of the sea in summer (it’s only warm enough in there to sit in there 6 months or so a year). The Canvas Prints provide canvas prints that are UV protected and have a 100 years colour fading guarantee, so it should be able to cope with the blazing sun of the conservatory. Or maybe somewhere else in the house would be better, where my canvas will remind me of summer and the sea all year round.
