We were sent some of Tesco’s selection of Christmas chocolates to have a bit of a sneak peek at this year. There’s quite a range too with something to suit everyone from children to adults. They don’t have to cost a fortune too, as prices start from £4 and the luxury end of the range goes up to £20. Made by the master chocolatiers behind both Hotel Chocolat and Harrods, from the finest ingredients, you won’t be compromising on taste and quality either. Our goodie bag included the latest Christmas offering from the Chokoblok range: Santastic Cinnamon and from Tesco Collection we had some Milk Chocolate Gingerbread Stars.
Tesco Collection Milk Chocolate Gingerbread Stars
The chocolate was thick and tasty ever so creamy. You need to use your back teeth to chomp out a bite because the chocolate is so thick. Swirled on the top was a little white chocolate, for decoration really, and sprinkled with a little crunchy ginger biscuit. Gorgeous! It’s not a strong gingerbread taste and in fact I’d say it could do with a little more gingery zing if anything.
Chokoblok Santastic Cinnamon
This is a fab one for any chocolate lover, but H was especially keen on helping out with this one. It’s a milk chocolate christmas tree shape with a white chocolate swirl. For decoration and added treats, its topped with cinnamon and gold dusted chocolate malty balls, caramelised biscuit crumbles. The taste of the cinnamon gives it a real Christmas feel. You need to break it up to eat it and it does crumble and you lose bits, which you need to snaffle up. It’s one to eat when you have a good lap to catch all those delicious crumbs on.
Christmas Inspiration From Tescos
H and I were so inspired by our Tesco chocolate that we decided to make you a short video to show you how your friends and family will react when they receive your Tesco Christmas chocolates gifts on Christmas day.
