Yesterday I took part in the Team Honk Relay. The idea behind this is that bloggers from all over the country are passing a baton from one to the next to help raise money for Sport Relief. Team Honk is a group of 200 bloggers from all over the UK who are getting a baton, Mr B, from Land’s End to John O’Groats. Covering 3000 miles to take in as many bloggers as possible, it will take 10 weeks in total. How are they doing it? Every form of transport you can think of really: running, cycling, swimming, roller skating, etc.
So we decided to do our bit to help Team Honk raise at least £20,000. First we went to our local bus station to meet up with Jo from Jo’s Nursery. Jo had collected the baton from Worcester and brought it to us by bus with her decorated pushchair. I was amazed that she’s managed to turn up with her new born, especially given that he was wearing a lovely red snow suit perfect for Sport Relief.
We were dressed as koala and alien (as you do). Our costumes both came from Jokers Masquerade. The koala costume was specially and very kindly donated by Jokers Masquerade and the alien outfit was one that we’d reviewed previously.
Our job was to get the baton to the ice rink in the centre of town to meet up with Rebecca from Here Come The Girls. She and her daughter were planning to ice skate their section in penguin costumes.
