Australians have all the fun. Or so it’s seemed to Smiggle fans up until now. Smiggle have the most delightful range of bright, colourful and fun stationery that’s bound to bring a smile to your child’s face. Impossible not to like as an adult too, especially if you are a stationery fiend like me. I can see some of their pens finding there was to my desk.
H has really enjoyed using the Smiggle Design Scratch Book. Basically, you scratch away the black coating, with a special scratch tool, to reveal the multicolours below and create your own funky design. For inspiration there are pictures on the left hand page and a child can either copy them or create their own unique creation.
This morning we went to Birmingham Botanical Gardens and we spotted two different cats whilst we were there. H decided that he was going to draw pictures of the cats he’d seen so that he could identify them if he saw them on another visit. Sadly, cats don’t come in a huge range of colours and there didn’t seem to be much opportunity to use the blues, green and pinks. H was happy though that he could spot the cats again and that was the main thing.
Smiggle open their first UK store this week at Westfield Stratford on 20th February. Further store launches are planned for the next month or two in Reading,Brighton and Kingston. Their stores are going to be a riot of colour and fun, so they are not to be missed if there will be one near you. If they’d only open a store in Birmingham next….
