We’ve found it useful, even for one night stays, for H to have his own stuff in a separate bag. When we visit his grandparents he sleeps in a separate room to us now, so it makes a lot of sense to have his things in one place. Once the essentials are packed, he can fill the bag up with toys and books to his heart’s content and he knows it needs to fit in the bag or it doesn’t go, which means we don’t carry anything too heavy or bulky.
H has been using a suitcase for a while, but it’s starting to look a little young for him, so he was chuffed to be able to pick out a lovely overnight bag from Pink Lining. Pink Lining have some wonderful changing bags, which help ease your path with a new baby, but they offer quite a range of products now for older children including lunch boxes, rucksacks and toy storage.
Our Robbie the Robot Pink Lining overnight bag looks great, but it also is very practical too. The main zip reaches across the width of the bag. It has a nice zip handle made from the same colour material as handles. The whole bag is really sturdy and well made using quality fabric and the stitching and other details are all well finished.
H loves the fact there are a couple of zipped compartments in the bag so he can hide away his precious bits and pieces. The first zipped pocket is on the front of the bag and sports a Robbie the Robot portrait. This is handy for anything you might want to get out on the journey say as it’s accessible without opening up the main bag. A larger zipped pocket is hidden away inside and that might be the perfect place for your toothbrush or alternatively for any secret items that have been brought along like a spy pen for instance.
