I’ve been looking at the weather forecast and it isn’t looking so good for the last week or so of the summer holidays. In fact, I had a conversation with my son yesterday and it’s clear that he thought the season was autumn and not summer (and I can see why). So perhaps it’s time to make sure that I have some warmer clothes ready to cope with autumnal weather. The obvious thing to look at is buying a few jumpers, so that we can keep the heating off for a bit longer and to keep me warm when I am standing around at the park playground.
This silk and cotton jumper is just the thing for me as the year starts to turn. It provides some much-needed extra warmth without any extra bulk. It’s a flattering cut too with its fitted shape and v shaped neck. Teal is one of my colours (I’ve had my colours done professionally and try to stick to it), but there are over 20 shades to choose from so you will be able to find one to suit you and fit in with your existing wardrobe.
Sometimes you just want to throw an extra layer on top of what you are already wearing. It needed to be something lightweight, but generously enough cut to make popping on a doddle. I really like this asymmetric grandad shirt. Again this one is made from silk and cotton, which is a lovely, light fabric to wear. Again there are quite a few colour options to choose from. I think I’d go for either the linen/brown marl or the flannel/pale pink as I think between them they’d go with pretty much everything in my wardrobe. I love the detailing around the neckline with the buttons and many of the colourways have a contrasting trip here.
