As regular readers will know we have been having our kitchen completed overhauled and refitted over the last couple of months. The dust from the building work has now settled, the units are in and we are decorating the walls. So, I’ve been thinking about how to accessorize the kitchen and make it a practical and pretty place to work.
When I’m working from a cookbook, I like to be able to see the pages easily without having to worry about losing the page. A cookbook stand is the answer, but I wanted something that fitted in nicely with my kitchen and really looked the part. This one from House of Fraser is very pretty, but it does exactly what you need it to do too: it holds your book up so it’s easy to see and it keeps your page nicely open for you.
What other kitchen accessories do I need in my new kitchen? Well as someone who makes their own bread (with the help of the bread maker usually), a bread bin was a must have for me. Even if you buy sliced bread though, it’s a useful thing to have as it hides those bread bags away making your kitchen look neater and less cluttered. I love the clean lines and classic design of this Linea Bread Bin.
