A little while ago I was sent some sandals from Hotter Shoes to try out. I’m a bit of a fan of Hotter Shoes and quite a few pairs of their boots, shoes and sandals. They are one of the brands I’ve been working with for the longest and I’ve been sent a number of pairs of footwear in the past to review, but I’ve also bought quite a few pairs myself as well. So I was very interested to try out this season’s collection of sandals, in particular this sandal called Sol.
These sandals come in quite a range of colours:
- platinum multi
- navy multi
- soft gold
- brown multi
- truffle multi
- jet black multi
For me the red ones stood out, partly because red is my favourite colour and I do have quite a few red clothes. Also, because these sandals filled a gap in my wardrobe: I have some darker red sandals, but none that are bright red. The bright red is very versatile because you can wear it with matching clothes, but they look great when teamed with a contrasting colours too (think of these teamed with a navy dress). I just need a handbag to match now and I’ll be a very happy girl.
I got home from a weekend away and was going to a party that evening. When I arrived back from my trip I found these sandals waiting for me and I decided to wear them to the party. They were perfect for my outfit. Getting to the party involved a 20 minute walk and it shows how confident I was in the sandals being comfortable that I chose to wear them. Luckily my confidence was not misplaced and they were easy to wear from the off. I wore them all evening at the party and then walked another 20 minutes home in them. You wouldn’t have known they were brand new as my feet were as comfortable at the end as at the beginning of the evening. I’d certainly consider buying this style in another colour (in fact I already have a pair in white). Most of the straps have velcro fastenings, so you can easily adjust them to suit your feet and ensure a good fit.
