H loves a little Halloween fun and dressing up has always been part of the experience. He was very impressed by the range of items available from Poundworld this Halloween which enabled him to put this outfit together (the strange cat mask is the model’s own, but the spooky glasses, vampire cape and scythe all came from Poundworld. Of all of these items the scythe has been the biggest hit of all (Who knew that what my boy really wanted was a scythe?): it’s been used as a costume accessory, a weapon for play fights against his cousins and a prop for many other games, not bad for a £1 item.
We picked out some tableware. H loved the skull shot glasses and I can see them making a regular appearance, not just for Halloween. We loved the pumpkin tea light holders which are easy to dot around to create that Halloween atmosphere. A cauldron is the perfect thing to hold Halloween sweets or in our case chocolate eye balls. Poundworld have disposable plates and bowls. You need something for all your trick or treat swag and H’s ghostly bag has plenty of room and is easy to carry.
Decorating the room is a must and we liked these hanging decorations. There was a mixture of Halloween themed and non themed decorations in the pack, so you could reuse some of them for other events during the year.
I’ve been very happy by the prices (as the name suggests, our items cost a pound each) and I was able to come up with quite a haul for not very much money. It means it’s really easy to put on a fun, Halloween party whether it’s just for your family or if you are inviting a gang of friends round too.
