During the summer we tried out our first pair of Gore-Tex® shoes and they performed very well, but even the British summer doesn’t prove the sort of test that autumn and winter can. So this season we are trying out some more shoes to put them through their paces in the less forgiving months of the year. This time we have been trying out the Adidas TERREX MID GTX® I. They were an instant hit on looks along as H thought they looked very cool and ‘they match my new scooter’. Now as a parent matching his new scooter wasn’t my number one priority for a pair of good trainers for him to wear out of school, but it didn’t do any harm did it?
These trainers are designed to keen the feet cool and dry, even when the wearer is running around like a mad thing. They have been to school for football training and have come back with praise from H. The grips are so good on them he thinks ‘he’ll never fall over again’.
He’s found them really easy to do up. There are no laces to tie (Hurray!). You just loosen off the yellow ‘lace’ to get your foot in, pull to tighten and then slide down the little black toggle to hold in place. Very simple.
So far we have tried them out in quite a few active situations from tree climbing to football training, scooting to bike riding. H loves these shoes and I think so far they are proving to be his best trainers ever. I love the fact that they will keep his feet dry whatever the winter weather throws at us.
