As you’d expect there is plenty going on at intu Merry Hill this Christmas. What could be better than the chance to combine some Christmas shopping with some family fun? There’s plenty of events to watch and take part in and the centre is looking very festive as you walk around too.
One of our favourite events is the special brass band parade including intu Merry Hill’s mascot, Marmalade the Mammoth, which is on every Saturday in December until Christmas. Apart from the wonderful Marmalade himself, led out by his brass band, this weekend there were also plenty of family favourites for the children to enjoy in the special Christmas parade.
Some of our favourites were there including Dennis the Menace and Gnasher, plus Wallace and Gromit. For younger children there are there were the Teletubbies and Paw Patrol, plus George and Peppa Pig.
intu Merry Hill has swapped the traditional Christmas grotto for a breath-taking free Christmas experience.
Shoppers will be able to wander through a rooftop scene complete with sleigh, snowmen and ‘real’ falling snow. Children will then make their way through a chimney slide to a decorated living room complete with a letter writing station for those eager to write their wish lists to Santa. Throughout the centre there’s plenty of Christmas magic to enjoy.
Santa Claus himself will be taking residence at the shopping destination every weekend in December to bring Christmas cheer directly to shoppers as they search for the perfect presents.
