Abodent

We’ve been styling a new room over the last few weeks and it’s very nearly finished now. As you can see in one corner of our attic room we have a plain, little sofa bed and I’ve been looking for some cushions to make it a bit more cosy and to add some highlights.  I picked out this Boating Bag Cushion from Abodent because of it’s slightly nautical design and it’s attention to the little details like having a real piece of rope to add a finishing touch.  I liked the masculine look which contrasted with my existing slightly feminine union jack cushions.  It’s a good quality cushion, finished to a high standard, and it came with a cushion pad already inside.

Abodent have a fabulous range of products with the emphasis on contemporary vintage interiors.  They have the most wonderful range of coat hooks with these Embellished Orb Coat Hooks being a favourite of mine because of their thick, creamy ceramic decoration contrasting with their brass necks.  They would be perfect in the hallway of a period house or to add a vintage twist to a more modern property.  In fact, it seems a shame to cover them up with coats, but they look sturdy enough to cope with even the heaviest greatcoat.

Door knobs are another speciality of Abodent’s and they have a comprehensive range with glass, ceramic, metal and wooden knobs to choose from, so you’ll be spoilt for choice. I particularly like this Showman Waggon Cupboard Knob which features traditional gypsy art style patterns.  It’s a large metal knob with a glass domed face and it’s muted coloured patterns are a lovely retro choice for your home.  This is sort of detail that can lift a plain set of drawers or a dull wardrobe into a conversation piece.
