This week seems to be one of those when I don’t seem to have taken that many pictures and most of those have been on my phone rather than my camera which is also unusual for me. At the weekend I was busy catching up with jobs, gardening, but I fitted in some me time with an early morning walk in the hills on the edge of the city.
It has been H’s tenth birthday week so we have been celebrating through the week and will be doing a bit more this weekend. I took him out for a meal at Pizza Express so he could have his favourite dough balls. We tried out a mini golf course at a localish park one evening: we got there early for a concert (in the arts centre within the park) that H was going to with cubs, so that we had time to give it a go. It was quite tricky, but I think the highlight for H was fishing the balls out of the water with the nets provided when they inevitably fell in.
This one isn’t the greatest photo, but it’s of H opening his presents on the morning of his birthday. As you can see Pokemon featured in there as he is a big fan.Obviously Bracken the cat didn’t want to miss out on any Pokemon action so she’s there too.
The cats are often sleeping in the conservatory during the day now that the days are a bit warmer. They have a bit more space there and don’t like to sleep on top of each other so much (it’s probably too warm for that), but they don’t like to sleep too far apart. In fact seeing them like this in near mirror image isn’t at all unusual. I put this picture on Instagram and caused all sorts of confusion about whether the cats were sleeping up the sofa. They aren’t that talented sadly.
