Last weekend we went out for lunch on the spur of the moment to a gastro pub out in the countryside. It’s one of my favourite places to eat and the food didn’t disappoint. Other than that we had a quiet weekend at home. H and I were able to catch up on some photos for the site. As time goes on the blog feels more like a partnership between the two of us. H often gets a say in which projects we take on and he often has ideas about how we should present them. Here he is working on a piece for National Stationary week.
This week we had a new board game arrive for us to review. It’s a very simple game, but H has been rather obsessed with it. We have been playing the same game continuously after school this week and we are keen to see whose strategy will be the most successful in the end. Watch out for our Super Farmer review and we have a copy to give away too, so you too can become obsessed.
For some time now I’ve regularly been posting pictures of my cats sleeping on instagram. They have been really popular, partly because the cats like to snuggle up together to get nice and cosy. Someone did ask if they were ever awake though and it’s true a lot of the pictures are of them asleep because it is easier as they are still, plus they do the cute sleeping snuggled up thing too.
So I decided to try to take some pictures of the cats awake. Of course, as soon as I started I realised why I don’t usually do it. It’s really difficult. I get down on the floor usually to get the shot and they think I’ve come down to their level to say hello. They come up close for a nuzzle and the shot is gone. I did manage this nice shot of Bracken awake and alert though.
