It’s been a busy week as I have been getting ready for the summer holidays. So I have been trying to get jobs done and work up to date. Last weekend I was on a mission to take pictures that I needed for blog posts. So on Sunday we all went out in our waterproofs because it had rained, but by the time we got around to it, the weather was picking up. Outside the house we ran into some friends who seemed very puzzled by our rainwear until I explained that we were going on a photo shoot. Luckily we don’t have far to go to get into the park to take some pictures.
Saturday saw us at the school fayre. We were only going to stay for half an hour, but we were there for much, much longer because it was so much fun. The highlight was H trying sumo wrestling: very, very funny.H didn’t escape during the week either as there were more shots to be taken to satisfy my need for blog post pictures. Here he is doing his after school reading with one of his Reading Chest books. I’ve been busy writing the posts up and some have been published and others are ready to go next week. H has had a busy week collecting two certificates in assembly this week: one for his bronze music medal and the other for 100% attendance for the year. He took his teacher presents in too and was pleased to report that he’d had two thank you hugs. It wasn’t just the blog that got the focus of my attention. There was a lot of shopping going on: food, wine and back to school shops to be precise. So frustrating that our big supermarket had precious little in the way of sizes when I tried to get sorted: no trousers in H’s size, no school pumps in his size, in fact they seemed to have very little of any size. I don’t want to do back to school while H is off because I used to hate that as a kid when you have just started your holidays and all the shops can think about is when you go back. In the end I got some of the essential stuff at a local school outfitters and I’ll keep an eye out for the rest when we have to do a big shop. Another thing I did was get the handyman in for a day to do some jobs including putting a blind up for a review and putting this birdbox up for me which was a birthday present from my sister. Do you think the birds will realise it is for them?
