After the mayhem of half term we had a quiet weekend to recover before going back to school. Time to catch up with some toy testing and photos for the blog. Here H is trying out the Airhogs Zero Gravity Batmobile.
I spent some time been getting the vegetable garden into shape. We now have peas and beans planted out and I’m hoping for our first crop from them soon. I’ve been taking quite a few photos out in the garden including this one of a chive flower.
The cats have been getting the camera pointed at them too. They are outside a lot more in the nice weather and if I am outside they usually come to join me. Sadly they don’t always stay still when I want them to, but I did manage this portrait shot of our cat Bracken. I’ve also been reviewing one of their things: a microchip pet feeder.
H started an after school cricket club this week. His school only seem to run ‘clubs’ for 6 weeks at a time and often they are for football, which H isn’t really interested in. Cricket is a sport he’s been keen to play for a while, so this is a nice chance to try it out. Apparently he fancies himself as a fast bowler.
Friday night saw us going swimming. Normally we have our swimming class on a Friday, but it wasn’t on this week, so we went with one of his swimming classmates to a ‘Bondi Beach Disco’ at a local leisure centre. A lot of fun was had, but I think the chlorine levels were too high and I started coughing soon after we got in the pool and H developed a temporary cough too.
