So it’s been a strange sort of week. I got to do a photo shoot with chocolate, which can only be good. I did get some strange looks and questions asked though in the woods where I took the photos.
I went in for parent’s evening this week. It’s actually the last one I’ll go to at H’s current school. This one is good because we can go to the classroom and spend some time reading through their books. H’s writing has come on this year and he’s writing much longer pieces of work, which is good as previously his handwriting issues had meant that he often didn’t get to express that many of his ideas. There was some great imaginative writing. All was good though and his teacher seemed happy with his progress.
I ended up having Friday off work. I’d worked hard earlier in the week and had been quite proactive, so I guess I’d earnt it. I did some errands, went to yoga and met a friend for a country walk. Then it was home for the usual school pick up and preparing dinner. It was H’s swimming lesson night so we went there and then dashed home, so that I could go to see a Rod Stewart tribute band. When I got there I found I’d been to see him play before as he played at a family member’s 60th. It was a great show and all the audience got into it. There was a lot of singing along and dancing. A strange day though as it was warm and sunny during my country walk and we sat outside for a cuppa with only a lightweight fleece jacket for warmth. In the evening though when we left the venue after the gig, it was snowing. So it seemed that we had moved back from spring into winter.
