At the weekend we had snow on the ground still although it was starting to go. It was a bit of a relief in the end as I am wanting to move onto into spring. Inevitable and frustrating too that things got cancelled because of the snow and I’ve been missing walking. I’m trying to fit a lot of walking into my week now to keep active and it’s not so easy in the snow (or as enjoyable). I’ve been sent some new shoes to try out too, so I’ve been able to start walking with them now.
On Sunday H went to see Wasps v London Irish in the rugby with a friend – it was the friend’s birthday treat. H has never been to a rugby match before, although he has been to a football one. I didn’t go, so I have no rugby picture to share. In fact, most of this post’s pictures are product photography that I’ve done along the way.
This week has been quite a social week for me so far and on Monday I went out for dinner with friends. Luckily this coincided with our water being cut off for a few hours. It went off about the time I left the house and my friend told me it was off when I got to hers (just up the road). The place we were eating was a few miles away so it didn’t suffer and the water came back on just as I got back home. I had a couple of bottles of water in thankfully so I wasn’t too concerned.
It’s been a busy week – it always seems to be the way. Every time I think I can get on top of things, something seems to crop up. This week I found out I needed to do something earlier than expected and ended up having to spend a lot of extra time sorting it out. So I’ve reached the end of the week and my to do list seems no smaller, longer if anything. Does anyone else get this?
Thursday night was another social night with friends. I went bowling through a blogging invite, but rather than leave the evening there, we went on to see a Coldplay tribute band at a localish gig venue. It would have been nice to have a bit of a lie in the next day, but sadly the local council have changed our bin collection day from Wednesday to Friday (I wish they hadn’t) and the bin lorry comes past about 7am.
