Hama Beads Children’s Competition

hama beads an amazing holiday competitionThis summer is looking uncertain weatherwise and it’s always worth having something up your sleeve for a wet day or if one of your children is sick and you’re all confined to base.  Using hama beads are a great way of keeping your children entertained on a ‘stuck inside day’.

This is our entry for the competition which is being run via Merry’s Patch of Puddles blog.  The prize is the £100 to spend at one of Merry’s businesses, such as Bead Merrily which specialises in hama beads.  What do you have to do to enter?  You simply need to make a scene on the theme of ‘An Amazing Holiday’.

This is our entry which has come from Henry’s imagination and is influenced by his love of knights, dragons and castles.  It is a fantasy scene of dragons, other strange creatures, castles and large, over-size faces.  An Amazing Holiday?  I’d like to draw your attention to the fact that the word amazing has two meanings:

  1. Causing great surprise or wonder; astonishing.
  2. Startlingly impressive.

Wouldn’t you be surprised and astonished if you went on holiday to this land?
