Planned work – stage 1 of operation garden. Stage 2 in a couple of weeks – major piece of work. Looking forward to it and dreading it at the same time.
Fairly painless thankfully. They were here for about 4 hours and they don’t seem to have done any real damage. Now the sycamore has gone we have a lot more light in the garden and a different view.
Ooh I bet that will completely change the feel of your garden?! Last year part of the huge tree in the playing field behind our house fell off into our garden (thank GOD my kids weren’t playing outside) and it’s so much lighter now. The tree surgeon cut it up for us so we could burn it on our chimnea Steph ( recently posted..Silent Sunday
Blimey, that’s some serious trimmage! It’s also making me feel guilty about the state of my own, very overgrown, garden! Jayne recently posted..Comment on Silent Sunday by MsXpat
Brave! I bet your garden feels loads bigger after all that. Wish I could do more than plant bulbs and hope they flower at least once before I end up killing them!
And very busy here too! What a beautiful garden you have anyway though, even before the haircut!

It looks like you’ve been busy! I wouldn’t know where to start in the garden, I kill everything in sight
Is that planned tree work or a result of the bloomin’ wind?

Watch out, sycamores will sprout out again from the stump!
Yes I’m a bit concerned about that. We have a lot of sycamore in our hedge too & it’s difficult to get it all out.
