I know lots of parents talk about their child been ‘so ready for school’. I don’t think this really applied to H. It’s not that he was behind, just the opposite, but at four and half he seemed too little for school and he was still learning loads at home. Truthfully though, there was a part of me that didn’t want to let him go, even though he was going to Pre-School a couple of days each week. I’ve blogged in more detail about H’s first school day and I’ve also laid out my tips for managing the starting school process.
