Logitech have launched the Logitech 2017 Doodle Collection and sent me one to try out in my home office. Computer mice aren’t the most exciting things usually, so it’s nice to see some with a different take on things. As you can see my mouse is decorated with a doodle design with its intricately hand-drawn characters, patterns and symbols. This year’s collection of mice is for people with a kid-at-heart attitude and a spontaneous and imaginative spirit. There are some great designs and some of them are very colourful. I’m torn between Triple Scoop and Skateburger as my favourite motifs.
The 2017 Doodle Collection mice last up to 12 months on a single battery apparently. Now I haven’t been able to test this myself obviously as I have only had it a few weeks. I do usually get through mouse batteries at quite a rate though, so I am hoping it delivers on that score and all is good so far.
It is slightly smaller than my previous mouse, but it’s easy to navigate through documents with the scroll wheel. It’s set up to use it with Windows®, Mac OS®, Chrome OS™ or Linux®, but I have only used it with Windows®. The nano USB receiver allows you to work up to 10m away. I haven’t really put this to the test as it wouldn’t really be practical on my current set up, but I have tried working with it a bit further away than usual and it is fine.
The 2017 Doodle Collection is available June 2017 for a retail price of £19.99. For more information, please visit the Logitech website.
