iPhone Round-Up

I’m planning to do a round-up post of any iPhone apps I review on a roughly monthly basis.  This is the first one.  This month we’ve reviewed two new apps: a Bob the Builder app and a Peppa Pig app.

Bob the Builder iPhone appBob the Builder iPhone app

The Bob app proved very popular.  There are 6 games on it including a game that involves cleaning the machine (which takes quite a lot of perseverance); a memory card game; and one that is effectively a jigsaw puzzle game.  H is always enjoyed watching Bob and the machines and he liked having an iPhone app with them in.  The app is priced at £1.99 and is available for iPhone and iPad.

Peppa Pig Sport's Day iPhone AppPeppa Pig’s Sports Day iPhone App

The Peppa Pig App is based upon a sports day theme, which seems perfect for this olympic year.  There’s a selection of games Obstacle Race, Long Jump, Ice Cream Maker, Bicycle Race, Tug Of War, Rosette Making, plus some scenes to place your reward stickers in.

Unusually, you can play this in multiplayer mode and can have up to 4 people playing it.  On the iPhone we found that 2 people worked well, but I don’t think you can very easily get 4 round an iPhone.  It’s more expensive than a lot of children’s apps at £2.99, but it does have more functionality than some.  I think it’s worth it for Peppa Pig fans or better still two so you can make use of the multiplayer functionality.

We were given both apps in order to provide a review.

  1. Cool apps! I love any multiplayer games on the iPhone. We are a very gadgetry family and also love playing games so that would be ideal for us
