It’s less than a week now before H will be back at school after the long summer break. We’ll both be sad to see the end of our summer, but there will be fun and new challenges to explore with the coming of a new school year. Not only have I been getting H ready to go back to school, but I have been gearing up too. These Dart Shoes that Hotter Shoes sent me to review are going to be my go to shoes for the autumn I think.
I’ve been trying them out of the last week or two. One of the things I love about Hotter Shoes is that they fit well from the start. I never feel I need to wear them in or worry about not walking too far the first time I wear them as they are just so comfortable on my feet. The knitted fabric contributes to that comfortable feel and inside the textile lining that allows your feet to breathe as you get out and about. The only downside is that they won’t keep out a serious amount of rain, but they are fine for showery weather.
The other thing you notice as soon as you put them on is how light they feel. You don’t really feel like you are wearing shoes at all because they weigh so little. That said, the padded collar, lacing and memory foam footbed provide the support your feet need, so lightweight is not at the expense of comfort. I love the two-tone colour of these shoes and it means that they will go with a huge range of clothes. As well as black you can opt for navy which is also very practical and maroon if you want a splash of colour. This style, the Dart, is new but it is similar to other shoes that I own by Hotter, and I’m expecting these to last well too.
