The first couple of pictures are from last weekend when my husband went to Italy with his brother to go to an Italian Wine Festival: Ardesio DiVino. You can read about their trip on my foodie blog. As you might expect they had a great time and they seemed to enjoy being mini celebrities appearing on Italian TV and being interviewed for newspapers.
I’d had the chance to go too, but turned it down because I thought my sister would still be here (she came back from Australia after 5 years). As it turned out they got into their rented house quicker than expected and are now camping out in Scotland, with minimal furniture and belongings, until their shipping container arrives (takes 6-8 weeks). Whilst I would have loved to be in Italy, H and I did need a bit of a rest after a full on week with the family and we had a nice, relaxed time at home or out locally doing some Pokemon Go hunting.
By Monday though we were ready for a change of pace and we went to the Sea Life centre to try out their Finding Dory activities.
Tuesday was a great day out at Sandwell Valley with friends, but I don’t have any pictures to share. Later in the week we caught up with some all important toy reviewing like this post we did on the Grossery Gang set we were sent.
We got chocolatey in the kitchen too making a owl cake and decorating it with chocolate buttons.
We also ventured into Birmingham to play with Anki Overdrive: a very cool racing system. More to come on that soon. H loved that we found one of his friends was at the stand when we arrived. The boys have yet another enthusiasm in common now.
