Week 11 Project 52

teapot card for mothering sundayLast weekend was Mothering Sunday (seems a long time ago now doesn’t it?).  I’d barely got out of bed, and was very definitely only half awake, when I was presented with my lovely, handmade card.  H made this card at school and it featured a real tea bag at the end of that string.  He brought it home in his book bag and I wasn’t allowed to look inside.  When we got it home he took it away and hid it.  I had to promise not to look in the cupboard where he had hidden it.

walking home through the parkThis week has been a fairly typical school week.  Every day we are lucky enough to be able to walk to and from school through our local park.  Last year when I did Project 366 a lot of my pictures were taken here especially during the winter months.  It’s been a while since I included a school run picture in my Project 52 round-up, so here’s one now.  H loves to explore and play on the way home.  Frequently we walk home with friends and there’s often some sort of imaginative adventure taking place as we make our way back.  This week it has been bitterly cold at times and H was almost crying because of the cold wind on Monday.

playing with dinosaur egg maskIn the evenings, after school, we have been busy too.  This week’s highlight was probably finishing the project we have been working on for the last 4 months (on and off, mostly off to be honest): Tipu’s Tiger.  It’s also been a busy week for testing and reviewing duties for H.  Testing out this Easter egg didn’t prove too onerous thankfully.  We’ve also been working on our scientific experiments with our Grow A Maze.

  12. Aww love the card! And the little PG Tips string on it. So cute.

  13. Great Mothers day card – I got some lovely cards from my two (from school and brownies etc) but the day itself wasn’t up to much! The tiger project sounds ambitious – I end up not doing things like that when they sound too complicated! Like the sound of growing a maze though.
