We loved the first Paddington film virtually from the moment we started it. There was just so much to like about it. Paddington Bear was brought to life by technological magic, but he seemed very much alive. A famous and talented cast interacted with him on his adventures. It was a real heart-warming tale, perfect for family viewing.
When we first saw the original Paddington movie, we saw the film at home on DVD, but for the sequel we were in for a real treat. A trip to Cineworld for us and better still the chance to try out the Cineworld Superscreen experience. So what makes the Cineworld Superscreen experience stand out? There’s a wall to wall screen that reaches as high as the ceiling. To take advantage of that massive screen, there’s state-of-the-art projection. For me though, it was the multi-dimensional sound that impressed. It’s powered by 27 amplifiers, but it’s not about being loud, but being clear and making sure you get the best sound experience possible.
Paddington 2 was just as good, if not better than the original Paddington film. Paddington is keen to give his Aunt Lucy the perfect birthday present, so he picks out an antique book. As it’s an expensive gift, Paddington has to get work to earn the money to pay for it. His approach to working life gives for a lot of laughs. Along the way though things go wrong. The book gets stolen, Paddington gets the blame and disaster strikes. We follow Paddington on his adventures and it’s a real mix of action, fun, sadness and laughs. We loved it.
Whatever style of film you most enjoy there’s something on Cineworld’s film slate for you this winter. H has his eye on Star Wars (he’s so excited about that film) and the Justice League. Me though, I’m looking forward to Murder on the Orient Express which I’ve heard rave reviews about. This might be one best seen on Cineworld Superscreen because I’ve heard it described as spectacular.
Cineworld is a great source of entertainment whether you are visiting with friends, on a date night or with the family. You can book your tickets for Paddington 2 and check out what else is showing in Superscreen at Cineworld https://www.cineworld.co.uk/superscreen#/
