Now the days are nearly at their longest and summer is truly here, I’ve been looking at replenishing H’s wardrobe because he needs some warmer weather clothes. He’s got a casual style so I’m looking at clothes that can cope with a bit of adventure. As ever H likes to wear bright colours and interesting designs, so that’s where our focus has been when we were picking out these clothes from Melijoe to share with you.
Picking out a few distinctive T-shirts can set the tone for a summer wardrobe. It’s difficult not to smile at this wonderfully fun shark T-shirt from Stella McCartney Kids. With its sea theme it’s very much H’s thing and the shark’s wicked grin really makes it. This year Stella McCartney really seems to have hit the mark with her kids’ t shirts because ww also love this cable car and rollercoaster one, which has a very retro feel with its slightly muted colours.
For warmer days we’ve chosen these casual and practical Bermuda shorts from Ikks, which will go very nicely with either of the two tees. With practical hip and leg pockets there’s plenty of room to store any interesting finds on day trips out to the country or the beach. I love that they have an adjustable waist as H is very slight and we need to be able to tighten up the waist to make clothes fit. The loose fit and the cool cotton fabric are perfect for those warmer days.
Staying with the red theme (it is H’s favourite colour) we’ve picked out these slim fit, stretch twill trousers from Little Eleven Paris. Perfect for cooler days or for dressing up things a little in the evening, these trousers are smart enough to cover most summer occasions. Even for more casual events I think they’re tough enough to last the summer long. Again they have an adjustable waist for those that need that feature.
