It’s time to look at the things we have been trying out over the last month or so. We have been trying out quite a range of things, which adds to the fun.
I’ve been a fan of Ecover products for quite a while now so I was interested to hear about their new washing up liquid. I’ve always found Ecover’s washing up liquid to be very good, but now it’s better than ever. They use a high proportion of plant-based ingredients like sugar and coconut oil, instead of petro-chemical additives. Using the new version is an improvement on the old, which was a very decent washing up liquid anyway. It’s worth a go to see what you think, especially as it’s better for the environment than the average washing up liquid.
Birds Eye Wholegrain Fishfingers
We’ve always used Birds Eye Omega 3 Fishfingers because they are made with pollock, rather than cod (cod is overfished so I try to avoid it). These are always very popular, so I was interested to see what H would make of the slightly healthier version: Birds Eye Wholegrain Fishfingers. I was a bit concerned that there might be an objection to the taste, but he was fine with it. In fact, he didn’t mention they were different at all. They do look slightly darker, but otherwise they look very similar. They passed the H taste test, so I think we’ll be having this version as our new regular fishfingers.
I’ve been trying out some gluten-free breakfast cereals with Nature’s Path. The Honey Sunrise is a mix of a range of different grains of varying types and textures. It’s quite tasty with the honey which adds a touch of bee magic. I preferred the Mesa Sunrise cereal though. This was quite similar to Corn Flakes, which are a favourite of mine anyway. I don’t need to eat gluten-free cereals, but if I did I’d certainly have these products in my cupboard.
Jumbo Games DC Super Friends Dominoes Game
Jumbo Games are a well-known toy brand and H has been enjoying their DC Super Friends Dominoes Game. It’s a fun game which is just the thing for a wet day in the summer holidays and it’s small enough to take on holiday with you. Great to have a dominoes game geared to a slightly older audience (H had outgrown our Thomas the Tank Engine version). This one has even been taken to work today for a team building event by Mr Nine to Three Thirty.
Factivity: Incredible Space Sticker Activity Book
The Factivity: Incredible Space Sticker Book is a lot of fun for space fans like H. There’s 300 space stickers, lots of space related facts and plenty of other puzzles and activities. This is just the thing to take on a journey or on holiday. It’s got a great balance between fun and finding out new facts.
