I’ve used arnica mostly for myself in the past as I am as clumsy as they come and regularly walk into door handles and the like. I find applying the arnica promptly helps keep bruising to a minimum. H, like most young children, seems to pick up bruises in the playground, especially on his legs, so I liked the idea of a product to help. Traditionally Arnica has been used as a treatment to help aid the healing process of bruises, muscular aches, sprains, swellings after bumps or knocks.
We were sent a Nelsons Arnica Kids Stick to try out. The stick is a pale purple colour and is slightly fatter than a lip balm tube, but about the same length, so it’s the perfect size so I can take it with me in my handbag. Made with natural ingredients with extracts of natural arnica, so it’s ideal for a child’s skin as there are no added nasties.
We haven’t had a lot of opportunity to try the Arnica stick out lately (thankfully), but I did thump my ankle yesterday. I had the stick in my handbag and rubbed some on. This morning no bruise which I’m very happy about. I can see the Arnica Kids stick becoming a handbag staple.
