I love outdoor toys because they encourage H to get outside and get active. They’re often a lot of fun too and you can do things that wouldn’t work inside. So the Great Gismos Geospace Jump Rocket Triple Shotz was a popular arrival in this house. H hasn’t had his own stomp rocket before, so he was thrilled to get one that fired not just one,but three rockets at once.
There are no instructions with the box, you just get the bits out and put it together like the pictures on the outside of the box show. The good news is that you don’t need any batteries or any extras for this toy (except stomp or jump power that is). It’s fairly straightforward to put together, but H couldn’t do it on his own because it was a bit difficult for him to slot the bits together. It’s important that you get the joins airtight otherwise your rockets won’t fire. For an adult though, it’s easy enough to do.
Once the initial set up is done though, it’s easy for a child to use. They just need to make sure they don’t put the rockets on too far down the tubes. Once H had mastered the art of firing rockets, he started firing at specific targets. At first it was the hedge as the bushes very kindly caught and held his rockets for him. That didn’t satisfy for long and he sneaked round to set up below the kitchen window while I was washing up. Nothing like giving mum a shock is there?
