Christmas often means that we have a little more family time, so it’s a good time to have a little creative fun and get making. We certainly did this Christmas.
A feature of this Christmas was H’s creativity with his new Lego sets. He made up each set once and then, almost immediately, went to work dismantling it so that he could transform it into something of his own. He made a wide range of vehicles and other models including a complex swimming pool with diving boards and jacuzzi.
Baking featured strongly. We don’t tend to make pretty, tasteful cakes in our house. The stronger the colours the better (and the thicker the icing too). These were yummy, if a little lurid in colour.
An ongoing project that we have been working on involves creating a copy of a sculpture from the Victoria & Albert Museum. We have now finished the tiger (yes that is what that orange thing is) and we are working on the man who goes with the tiger. Hopefully, I’ll be blogging about this in more detail soon as I’m hoping it will only take another week or so to complete.
We were asked to share our creativity over Christmas as part of Carcraft’s Drive Happy initiative, and we were sent a gift in return for taking part.

L likes to make things and bake cakes. He is very picky tho and always gives a critique on what we’ve made!
