A while ago I told you about our great day out at the Wyre Forest. We’re hoping to make another trip there soon, maybe even over half term and we’ll be able to use our Discovery Pass to get free parking. The Forestry Commission have been kind enough to offer a Discovery Pass to readers of 92three30.
A Forestry Commission Discovery Pass is valid for a specific Forestry Commission location, and the winner will need to stipulate which venue they want. The Pass is valid for 12 months and gives free parking for one car at the designated location. There are some great additional benefits to the pass including:
- A seasonal e-newsletter, with forest news and events.
- Generous discount vouchers for shops and activities on and off site. Benefits differ from site to site.
Entry is via the Rafflecopter widget below.

Love finding unusual shaped tree branches and taking them home for the garden
walking in woods, especially if you can’t hear traffic, slows my brain down, calm down and remember that there is more to life than being busy, busy, busy. I’ve just been for a walk in woodland and snowdrops are coming out, which really lifted my mood.
We are lucky to live in the New Forest, i love the views and the clean fresh air

I love the freedom the woods brings, having a picnic and last Summer on several visits to our local Forestry commission woods Cardinham Woods we got to see families of ‘common Lizards’ which can’t be that common as it is the first year we had seen them

Will be really handy for my Geocaching
When I was young my Mother showed me how to make a shelter using low, horizontal branches, twigs, leaves & mud.
I did the same with my daughter at Keilder Waters … Never people to be half hearted, we got completely immersed in the project & spent hours completing it.
It was a peaceful & therapeutic venture.
But, the best part was, when we returned in a couple of months, the camp was still standing .. And, people had actually added to it with their own branches & mud walls … And, there was a circle of stones with the remnants of a fire in it.
My daughter was proud as a peacock of her camp, & thrilled that others obviously enjoyed it, too!
A few months l

Walking with the children in our local forest and discovering new things is a favourite pastime of ours.
The magic in the air and seeing my son and the dogs running around happy.
Love the peace and quiet and the fresh air and how the trees and leaves rustle in the breeze. Lets me dream of a world in other times when life was less automated.
